Black Milk Review

📌Black Milk Northern Quarter, Manchester

We only heard of Black Milk recently and as we were in Manchester for the weekend we decided to try it!

We visited the one on Oldham St in Manchester. The only issue was that their wasn’t much parking nearby, so we decided on just ordering to take away.

The interior inside was vibrant yet minimalist. It had a chilled, welcoming atmosphere. As we were taking it away, we unfortunately couldn’t get very much, but we did order one of their Reece’s Peanut Butter Black Milk shakes! It came in a reusable glass jar.

Luckily, we got the opportunity to try it out again in Trafford Centre! But the Black Milk at Trafford Centre is like a pop up stall in Selfridges thus there is no seating. We ordered a delicious Ferrero Rocher & Strawberry Black Milk Shake and Brownie Waffle (we asked to replace the S’mores with whipped cream & extra brownies!). We absolutely love the way the waffles are served – like dessert burgers. It has to be said the brownies were the most chocolatey yet not dried out brownies we’ve ever had.

Furthermore the price we paid for the milkshake and waffle was £13.65. Considering the intensity of flavour, artistic presentation and yum factor this price is very reasonable. In fact we both shared these and it was enough to satisfy us and would be too intense to eat or drink one each.

The service was impeccable due to the very friendly and professional staff. The items were also made very quickly and hygienically (from what we saw).

Would we recommend this place? Yes, you definitely need to to try this place at least once in your life. Food / Drink: 9/10 Food Options: 6/10 Environment: 7/10 Value for Money: 9/10 Customer Service: 9/10
