REVIEW: BETULLA'S RESTAURANT

Since sharing our first impressions of Betulla's restaurant in 2019, we've been back a few times. We decided it was time to give our overall impressions of this Italian restaurant. Now for the important details...

first impressions

Upon entering this restaurant, we are greeted by a homely ambiance decorated with rustic modern decor. Unable to withstand the mouthwatering smells, we quickly got to ordering our food from the double-sided A4 menu.

On the left is Arancini and the right is Garlic King Prawns with Ciabatta.

STARTERS AT BETULLA'S

We've tried a variety of their starters, including the Garlic King Prawns, Warm Dough Balls, Arancini, Garlic Bread & Mozzarella, and Garlic Bread with Tomato & Chilli. All of the appetisers are delicious and worth trying, especially the garlic bread with tomato and chilli.

MAINS AT BETULLA'S

Now onto the main event! Not only are the portion sizes consistently really generous but absolutely delicious. Our favourite mains from Betulla's are the Penne Pesto Feta and King Prawns with Chilli & Lime served with Spaghetti & an Extra Virgin Olive Oil Dressing.

Perfectly cooked, juicy king prawns are lightly seasoned with a delectable, herb-infused extra virgin olive oil dressing and served with al dente spaghetti. Regardless of the generous portion size, this was exceptionally divine, so much so that it was devoured in minutes!

DESSERTS AT BETULLA'S

It goes without saying that you can't go to Betulla's and not order dessert. Yes, the dessert is that delicious. Their dessert menu is constantly changing, but their specialty is homemade cheesecake. Nothing beats a perfectly balanced chocolate cheesecake, in our opinion.

Homemade Cheesecake of The Week.

This has to be one of the best cheesecakes we've ever had! It's not overly sweet, creamy, and chocolatey, with a buttery, crunchy biscuit base.

FINAL THOUGHTS

The food is absolutely delicious, freshly prepared, and reasonably priced. This came to Β£100 for four people (two starters, four main courses, four soft drinks, and two desserts). This equates to Β£20 per person, which we believe to be about average. We've heard of people being dissatisfied with their experiences, but we've found that every time we visit, we get the same high-quality food. Would we suggest this restaurant? Yes, we strongly recommend that people in the Ulverston area visit this restaurant.
